Good night, sleep tight and don’t let the BED BUGS BITE!
Good night, sleep tight and don’t let the BED BUGS BITE!
Fifty-five years ago in Texas, this was a customary, “Goodnight ritual.” I was thinking, “who cares, just don’t let a rattlesnake share my bed.” No joke. Often after leaving our home for weeks, as my Mom was receiving treatment for Leukemia, it was common knowledge that snakes migrate into homes that were left unoccupied.
I always thought bed bugs were similar to a unicorn. They really didn’t exist. “Oh, quite contraire my dear.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, Bed Bugs are about the size of an apple seed. They hide in the cracks and crevices of beds, box springs, headboards, bed frames and any other objects around a bed. The risk of encountering bedbugs increases if you spend time in places with high turnovers of nighttime guests — such as hotels, hospitals or homeless shelters. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/bedbugs/basics/definition/con-20026119
Now as luck would have it, guess who’s my neighbor? No, not Mr. Rodgers.

Believe-or-not, “Bed Bug Services” are actually explained in vivid detail.
Bed bugs are accomplished travelers, stowing away in suitcases and personal belongings. They are small wingless insects that are becoming more and more of a problem across the U.S. as well as in the Stanislaus County area. They have become a major problem in hotels, apartment buildings, hospitals and homes. Since they are prolific breeders, once you have a small infestation, it can grow very quickly into a severe problem. Bed bugs hide away in mattresses and box springs and the crevices of all types of furniture during the day time and come out during the night to feed on human blood and the blood of other warm blooded mammals. Bed bugs are very difficult to get rid of and early detection is key.
As Les Brown, one of the world’s most renowned motivational speakers, would say: “What you don’t know can kill you.”
Ok, maybe a Bed Bug Bite won’t kill you but I’m not going to sign-up for that experiment. Instead, I will consider the professionals at Castle Pest Management offer: A Customized residential and commercial bed bug services can help you rid your property of these nighttime pests. We use both fumigation and heat treatments to exterminate your bed bug problem as well as conventional bed bug control methods to make sure bed bugs are gone from your home or business for good.
